Yorke Peninsula Region Recreation, Sport and Open Space Strategy

This regional planning study is sponsored by the four local councils in the region (Wakefield Regional Council, District Council of Yorke Peninsula, District Council of Copper Coast and District Council of Barunga West), along with Planning SA and the Office for Recreation and Sport.

The Strategy aims to assist Councils and other organisations and communities to collectively address issues and improve opportunities for recreation and sport in the region

The draft reports for the above strategy have been made available for community review and feedback. These incorporate the Strategy Plan, and the project Background and Findings report. These reports follow on from the consultation sessions that were held in Snowtown and Balaklava during May 2004, and the survey conducted of all sport and recreation facilities in the Council area.
